Our experience working within the marine environment with a diverse group of stakeholders has given us the opportunity to design successful solutions that have consistently exceeded our clients’ expectations and met project goals. More specifically, this includes maintaining the critical natural habitat, protecting ongoing business interests and creating public open space that connects the public to the marine environment. One example of achieving these unique goals and challenges is our work at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. This involved the evaluation, design and repair of the existing structure while the restaurants and commercial space remained open and operational. The sequencing of the repairs was phased and staged to avoid any interruption to the businesses. The building formed an important connection for the public to the maritime environment and is located in an area frequented by marine mammals.
